Waiting On Wednesday #6: Avenged

Avenged (Ruined #2)
written by Amy Tintera
Publication date: May 2nd, 2017

Earlier this year I read the first book in the Ruined series, and I was pleasantly surprised. It's one of the better books I've read so far in 2016. So to say that I'm looking forward for the second book is an understatment. I'm excited to dive back into Amy's amazing fantasy world and to get back to Emelina's story.

Waiting On Wednesday #5: Rebellion

Rebellion (The Hundred #4)
written by Kass Morgan
Publication date: December 6th, 2016

IT'S FINALLY HAPPENING! I'm a huge fan of both the books and tv-show, so when I found out that Kass Morgan was writing a fourth book in The 100 series, I squealed. I can barely hold back my excitment. The 100 is one of my favorite science fiction series - in both books and tv-show. I just really hope this book does as well as the other three.

Top Ten Tuesday #8: Thanksgiving Freebie

Today's Topic; Books I Am Thankful For

We don't actually celebrate Thanksgiving here in Norway, but that won't stop me from bringing up a few books that had a huge impact on my life. Without these books I don't think I would read as widely as I do know. Which is something I'm really thankful for.

There is a right way and a wrong way to summon her.

Jess had done the research. Success requires precision: a dark room, a mirror, a candle, salt, and four teenage girls. Each of them--Jess, Shauna, Kitty, and Anna--must link hands, follow the rules . . . and never let go.

A thrilling fear spins around the room the first time Jess calls her name: "Bloody Mary. Bloody Mary. BLOODY MARY." A ripple of terror follows when a shadowy silhouette emerges through the fog, a specter trapped behind the mirror.

Once is not enough, though--at least not for Jess. Mary is called again. And again. But when their summoning circle is broken, Bloody Mary slips through the glass with a taste for revenge on her lips. As the girls struggle to escape Mary's wrath, loyalties are questioned, friendships are torn apart, and lives are forever altered.

A haunting trail of clues leads Shauna on a desperate search to uncover the legacy of Mary Worth. What she finds will change everything, but will it be enough to stop Mary--and Jess--before it's too late?

Waiting On Wednesday #4: Hunted

written by Megan Spooner
Publication date: March 14th, 2017

Hunted is a retelling of our beloved Disney movie, Beauty and the Beast. I am so excited for this book, especially because Belle is a huntress. I think the whole concept is really interesting, and if I'm not mistaken you also get to see things from the Beast's view.

Waiting on Wednesday #3: The Upside of Unrequited

The Upside of Unrequited
written by Maria Lewis
Publication date: April 11th, 2017

Becky Albertalli has become one of my favorite authors after reading Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda. Yes, I have only read one book from her but it was a book that I will remember forever. She is a magnificent author, and she knows perfectly well how to capture her audience. I hope that one day I'll write just as good as she do.

Top Ten Tuesday #6: Movie Freebie

Today's Topic; ... Movies Every Horror Junkie Should Watch

Here's the thing: I love horror movies - good or bad I still love them. I just enjoy a good scare, and that is exactly what I get. I'm not there for the good plot or the great actors, I'm there for the tension and exitement. I'm not joking when I say I'm pretty sure I have watched every horror movie out there. And this year has been a good year for the horror genre.

Waiting On Wednesday #3: Who's Afraid Too?

Who's Afraid Too?
written by Maria Lewis
Publication date: January 10th, 2017

After reading the first book in the Tommi Grayson series, I just knew I had to read the second one. Let's just say there is no doubt in my mind that this book will be my most anticapated read in 2017.

Top Ten Tuesday #5: Top Ten Books To Read

Today's Topic; ... If Your Book Club Likes Books With A Post-Apocalyptic Setting

Sci-Fi is my drug. If there is one thing I'm addicted to, it's Sci-Fi. I love to read about the different "futures" for our world. Which is why I'm even more in love with Sci-Fi's subgenre: Post Apocalyptic. The damage is already done. Something major happened, and now we readers get to jump into a world that is nothing like ours. A world we might live in ourselves one day (hopefully not anytime soon).
